N°11 – The King Cobra

The king cobra is one of the most deadly snakes in the world. With its ability to deliver a quick and fatal bite, it inspires fear and fascination among reptile enthusiasts. While it is often considered a symbol of Indian culture, the king cobra is actually a formidable and potentially deadly predator.

The king cobra can reach lengths of up to 5 meters and weigh up to 6 kilograms. Its bite is highly toxic and can kill a human within hours if not treated promptly. Symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting, blurred vision, and muscle weakness.

Attacks by king cobras are rare but often fatal. Victims are often individuals who live or work in areas where king cobras are known to be present, such as farmers or hunters. King cobras are also known to attack humans if they feel threatened or cornered.
