N°4 – Rattlesnake

The rattlesnake is one of the most frightening and feared reptiles in North America. With their distinctive rattle sound and menacing appearance, these snakes instill fear in many people.

Each year, rattlesnake bites result in victims and can be fatal if not treated promptly. Rattlesnakes have venom glands located at the back of their heads, which inject powerful poison when they bite their prey or feel threatened.

Despite their reputation as killers, rattlesnakes are fascinating creatures and play an important role in the ecosystem. If you encounter a rattlesnake, it’s important to remain calm and slowly back away without making sudden movements.
