N°12 – The Tarantula

The tarantula is one of the most well-known and feared spiders worldwide. With its imposing size and venomous bite, it instills fear in many people. While most tarantulas are harmless to humans, some species can be highly dangerous.

A tarantula’s bite can cause intense pain and severe symptoms such as muscle spasms, nausea, and vomiting. In the most severe cases, the bite can be lethal. The most dangerous species are mainly found in tropical regions such as South America, Africa, and Asia.

Some tarantula species are used to produce venoms that can be used in medicines to treat various illnesses.
