Since Luna didn’t have a permanent place to live, her position was getting worse and the local social services office had started threatening to put her down if she couldn’t find a place to live. She urgently needed a loving caregiver.
Fortunately, Lucie Holmes was coming.
When social services informed Lucie about Luna’s predicament, she understood what she had to do right away. Luna, a boisterous 12-month-old German shepherd who runs Lucie’s Animal Rescue in North Yorkshire, England, appeared to be pregnant, which confounded Lucie, who leads the organization.
A scan at the veterinarian confirmed what Lucie had thought after she brought Luna there. In addition to being pregnant, Luna was also about to give birth to puppies.
Lucie admitted to having a panic attack.
