Number 11 – The King Cobra

The king cobra is one of the deadliest snakes in the world. With its ability to deliver a quick and fatal bite, it inspires fear and fascination among reptile enthusiasts. Although often considered a symbol of Indian culture, the king cobra is actually a formidable and potentially deadly predator.

The king cobra can reach lengths of up to 5 meters and weigh up to 6 kilograms. Its bite is highly toxic, capable of killing a human in just a few hours if not treated quickly. Symptoms include abdominal pain, vomiting, blurred vision, and muscle weakness.

Attacks by king cobras are rare, but they are often fatal. Victims are often people who live or work in areas where cobras are known to be present, such as farmers or hunters. Cobras are also known to attack humans if they feel threatened or cornered.
